24x36. This drawing belongs to a series of work created by Evans that was inspired by his travels in Burkina Faso West Africa. Spending a month in the amazing terrain among its people, Evans returned with inspiration to create over 30 paintings. This is the first piece created in this body of work and is the cornerstone of the series. Part of the experience of Africa was a workshop in the U.S. with artists from all over the world, which gave Evans the opportunity to show his work along with the Ivory Coast artist Ouattara at the Kemper Museum. This painting is an abstracted portrait of the artist Ouattara.
